List of Howie Carr Radio Sponsors to Boycott – WITH POLL

September 29, 2009 By eb3-fka-ernie-boch-iii

Below is a list of nine sponsors of the Howie carr radio show. Howie Carr sponsors should be boycotted not because of Howie’s politics but because of his over the top personal attacks and meanness towards those he disagrees with or stand in his way. His behavior and rhetoric is everything that a civil and educated society should rally against. His latest column regarding Judge Connolly is a case in point.

Sponsors should be aware of our feelings through e-mails, letters, and telephone calls.

Contact should be polite and more of an FYI type of thing yet streesing how there is a large number of people of all political persuasions who have finaly had it with him.

I should have more sponsors to list soon.

Perhaps these sponsors can be posted in a sidebar on BMG front page. This will take numbers. Many people expressing their disgust with Howie and they want the sponsors to know.

Note: We all have friends and relatives who have differnt politics than us and have problems with Howie. These poeple have to be invited to the boycott. They should be encouraged to send letters, e-mails, etc. to sponsors.

Friends of the Bulgers, the Flahertys, The meninos, The kennedys, The Delehunts, The Franks, The Finnerans, The Murrays (Terry), The Catholic Church, the gay community, and many others not associated with the lefty politics of this blog. should be brought in to this if possible.

“Floon,” I saw used last night. I think Michaal and Sam might work better. McSam?

is here.  I don’t know much about Judge Connolly.  But I do know that, if anything, he was too kind to the MA GOP’s ignorant and laughable argument that Governor Patrick didn’t have the right to accelerate the effective date of the interim Senator law.

Did he run away from the scene and not report the accident. Did he reappear the next day after sleeping it off? Did he conspire with others to cover up his role in killing her? Was every single word he said about the accident a demonstrable lie – according to the Boston Globe?

    <

    p>Just Curious.

By application of your test I can do anything short of killing a girl without facing scrutiny. Is that the test you apply to any man’s transgressions?  If so, hide the children, I’m going out to party.

      <

p>BTW, what does Ted Kennedy have to do about Mr. Carr’s crossing of the center line, jumping the curb, smashing a telephone pole in two and totalling his motor vehicle?  I had my own problems with the late senator but I fail to understand the reason for your post.

Look at Glen Beck. Think he’s upset that a few advertisers pulled from his show? He’s got more pub (read=ratings) since then he ever could have before. The better option is just to ignore him.

the crowds are tough to take but you will save a bundle avoiding Shaws.

    Boycott the radio show.

    <

p>Listening to him is a waste of your time…a waste of your energy…and if you are getting upset maybe not good for your health.  Don’t listen!

    <

p>Kill many birds with one stone:

    <

p>1.  You don’t get upset by his over the top personal attacks and meanness.

    <

p>2.  His number of listeners drops.

    <

p>3.  You aren’t among the audience listening to the sponsors that are guilty by association for advertising on his show.

    <

p>4.  You are free to listen to or do something else with your time.

    <

p>You are drawing more attention to him.  Playing into his hand.  If a civil and educated society ignored him you will hurt his program more then refusing to eat at Michael’s Deli will.

    <

p>You don’t like him, ignore him.  You will enjoy your life a little more… and boycotting his show is much more effective.

    <

    p>Just IMO.

            September 30, 2009 at 10:52 am

Go ahead and call the sponsors… but IGNORE him.

            <

p>Reducing the size of his listening audience does more damage.  The less folks are talking about him the less people tune in.  The less folks wonder what outrageous behavior and rhetoric is next, the less popular he becomes.

            <

p>As long as his ratings are high he will not have a problem finding sponsorship.

Do I discontinue walking to Shaw’s which is right near my house or do I hop in the car and drive to the Big Y?

The big companies care about public opinion.

      <

p>Several years ago Shaw’s and Stop & Shop gave in to pressure from MassResistance and removed Bay Windows from their stores. Non-homophobes were understandably furious. Stop and Shop very quickly relented after Bay Windows discontinued their personals section. Shaw’s was slower, but eventually followed suit.

At least go to Stop & Shop. Both Shaw’s and Stop & Shop are unionized. Big Y is not.
