  • So first and foremost, I am running to help those struggling in these difficult economic times.

  • I am running to help those workers who have lost their jobs or live in fear of losing their job.

  • I am running to help those one paycheck away from foreclosure or one medical bill away from bankruptcy.

  • I am running for those teachers, fireman and policemen (like my brothers) who wake up each day and work to keep our city safe, and make our future brighter.

  • I am running because my experience on the council and education make me the best prepared to take on the challenges we face.

  • And lastly I am running because this city – my hometown – has a rich history, of pride, of leadership, of vision and a commitment to the belief that anyone who works hard and plays by the rules should have the same opportunities at success as anyone else.

    In closing, I ask for your help and 1 of your 4 votes tomorrow on Election Day – Tuesday, September 22, 2009. I offer a new generation of leadership with the knowledge, experience and vision to Get Boston Moving Again and make our great city even greater.
