Public Safety Trifecta: Police, Fire and Ambulance Throw Support Behind At-Large Candidate Andrew Kenneally
Boston, MA | 9/21/2009 – The day before the September 22nd preliminary election, all of Boston’s emergency service workers have placed their support behind Andrew Kenneally for one of the four at-large seats on the Boston City Council. This underscores Kenneally’s deep background and credentials on public safety.
“Andrew’s understanding of how to keep Bostonians safe is unmatched. As a brother and cousin of police and firemen, he knows the dangers our emergency service workers face every day. As the director of a non-profit, the West Roxbury Public Safety Coalition, he worked to keep our children drug-free. As a top aide on the Boston City Council, he labored to pass key legislation to get “cop killer” guns off our streets. For all of these reasons and more, we are proud to support him,” said Thomas Nee, President of the Boston Police Patrolman’s Association.
Kenneally’s public safety endorsements include: Boston Police Patrolmen’s Union; Boston Firefighters, Local 718; Boston Police Superior Officers Union; and the Emergency Medical Services Division of the BPPA. For a complete list of Kenneally’s endorsements, visit: http://andy09.com.
