Thank God. I thought Alex Beam was dead. But to everyone’ delight he has found some dry land in the Globe’s Metro section where Bostonians can now read his political musings.
Fantastic.

Hey, I told you guys a long time ago. The lawyer who writes the appellate brief is the one that should argue it to the court.
Martha could have been a great boss and given the well deserved opportunity to the assistant A.G. that knew the most about the case and more prepared to argue it.
Instead Martha saw it as an “all about me moment” thus putting her personal ambitions ahead of her responsibilities to her client (us).
Frank Phillips reported her Supreme Court fiasco today.
I particularly loved this tid bit
Coakley had not gone unprepared. She was prepped by two well-known Harvard Law School professors, Alan Dershowitz and Charles Ogletree. Her top aide, David S. Friedman, clerked with one of the court’s justices after graduating from Harvard Law and sat next to her at the hearing.
WTF Martha?
Did you prep with the lawyer who wrote the appeal? What great wisdom did the Dersh give you? Other than where to stand.
At least you didn’t seek advice from major media hounds. Not!

How about WTKK honcho telling the Herald ( and the Herald reporting it) that they are no longer interested in pursuing Howie Carr after his current contract with WRKO runs out.
Now I understand it is in TKK’s best interest to say that. Especially since introducing a new line-up.
But it is interesting.
Coming Soon, Phase 2 of the Anti-Howie Crusade. God save us all.

I want to make fun of Pags in this post. But I don’t think I have the heart to. The jokes write themselves.
But so do jokes about all sorts of pathetic souls. And this guy is major league pathetic. Mitt Romney was never pathetic. Scott Brown is not pathetic. John Kerry is not pathetic. Dapper O’Neill was not pathetic
Pags is pathetic.
By the way, I like Pags telling us his humble Italian American heritage along with the fact he was raised with traditional “progressive values”.
What, was Pags mother marching in pro-abortion and pro gay rights rallies when he was growing yp in the 50s and 60s?
OK Pags, tell me another story.

All the state reps are lining up behind Coakley because they can then appoint her replacement and that will result in some shake-up somewhere in leadership.
Besides, she asked first. I bet and nobody knows Cap. Interesting to see which reps, if any, really work to get their vote out for her.

It is such a damn shame that Iron Mike Flaherty cannot run against Search and Avoid Dan Conley because of a commitment he made ten years ago.
Good for Mike for honoring his word. But that shouldn’t stop him and others from finding a candidate to get rid of the worse D.A. ever.
