I don’t trust columnists who embrace someone for being “fresh” and anti-political, and dismiss “Democratic boilerplate” and “sharp-edged populism.” All Lehigh is saying, like so many self-important independents, is he’s bored with covering politics and he pines for an exciting end-run around democratic processes.
