From an email from the Columbia Journalism Review:
The interesting and challenging results in Massachusetts are consequences that all Americans will face if the national health reform bill as it stands is signed into law, which is why it is crucial that legislators and journalists do their part to understand its flaws and merits. Since March, CJR’s Trudy Lieberman has been writing about the Massachusetts reform experiment. As the zero hour for national health reform draws near, Lieberman’s reporting and insights are more important than ever.
Here is a link to Lieberman’s series, entitled “Health Reform Lessons from Massachusetts.” (http://www.cjr.org/campaign_desk/massachusetts_health_reform_ar.php) In eight entries, she covers topics ranging from the individual mandate to cost containment to the law’s effect on small businesses. Understanding what happened in Massachusetts is vital to understanding-and explaining-the challenges of health care reform.
We invite you to read them all.
