ACTION: fighting for the public option in health care reform

This weekend, we won a huge victory in the Senate when we broke the first Republican filibuster of healthcare reform. We are only weeks away from passing healthcare reform with a public option. And it’s no secret; the final vote is going to be close.

Amendments, more filibusters, Republicans and Insurance Industry Democrats stand in the way of victory.

Now, we’ll only have days, sometimes hours, to fight back attempts to kill a public option. We’ll need rapid response — but we won’t stop there — we’ll play offense with rapid attacks on those against real reform.

That’s why I’m asking you right now for the resources to bring this campaign to victory. If we raise $220,000 before the Senate returns from Thanksgiving break, we’ll have the power to not just respond to threats, we’ll have the power to beat them back immediately.

This is the end. We can see the finish line. But it will take every single tool in our arsenal to win.
