Actor Chris Evans, who is Mike Capuano’s nephew will be at the big Open Mike event on Monday, but there will also be another unnamed special guest. This guest “is no stranger to public life or political activism.” That might not be a lot to go on, but could it be Joe Kennedy? Is that why they’re moving this event to the Park Plaza while all the other Open Mike events have been at smaller venues? For example, when Stephen Lynch endorsed, the event was at a neighborhood restaurant in Southie.
I’m probably getting way ahead of myself, but if this is what happens, it would certainly be well-timed. The first Monday after the municipal elections is a great time to grab attention and make a big splash like this, and Capuano needs it right now. Again, it isn’t a lot to go on, but it is probably something worth keeping an eye on.
