In a press release, Donna Kelly-Williams, R.N., President of the Massachusetts Nurses Association said, “Martha has taken on drug and insurance companies on behalf of patients, and we’re confident that she will continue to demonstrate that same effective leadership in Washington.”
The Massachusetts Nurses Association is the largest union and professional association of registered nurses and health professionals in the state, and the third largest in the nation, representing more than 23,000 members working in 85 health care facilities. In October, the MNA membership approved affiliation with National Nurses United, the largest union of registered nurses in the history of the United States, with more than 150,000 members from coast to coast.
Looks like Coakley's endoresment train just keeps chugging along.
