The Right is officially, politically, ethically, morally and pragmatically bankrupt. And pathetic.
Further West in Indiana, on a tit-for-tat book tour, Sarah Palin is the standard bearer for the Bill Kristol/Weekly Standard branch of the GOP.
Apparently, all is fair game in love and war in politics in the age of celebrity.
I wish there were some important issues going on in the country that would give the political press something meaningful to cover.

Owens has been sworn in.
<
p>Would that be overturned and Owens unseated should the final tally change the result? Or would Hoffman have to take it to court?
…for unseating an elected official once seated. Hoffman would do well to regroup for a 2010 rematch rather than whining about this.
For just such a rematch.
The backstory on this is the fight between Right-wing Leninists and traditional Republicans (including conservatives) over control of the Republican Party. NY-23 is just one front in that war.
<
p>The ACORN “conspiracy” is one weapon in that fight; others include the birther movement, the Teabaggers, and the the promotion of Sarah Palin.
But apparently Hoffman loaned his campaign quite a bit of money. So one line of thinking is that this whole ACORN attack is just an attempt to shake down the right wing donor pool and recoup that loss. It’s certainly an incredibly stupid way to start his 2010 campaign, if that’s what Hoffman has in mind.
Does a candidate’s concession have any sort of legal weight? I always thought that was just for public consumption.
