According to RedMassGroup, Charlie Baker will announce tomorrow that he has tapped State Senate Minority Leader Richard Tisei to be his running mate.
I’ll let you read the amusing debate happening at RMG over the value of a pro-choice, pro-gay Republican Gubernatorial candidate selecting a pro-choice, pro openly-gay Republican LG running mate.
If this is true, does the Baker/Tisei ticket move to Cahill’s left in the general? Can Baker/Tisei win in the primary against Mihos? Does an insider running mate hurt Baker’s outsider cred?
And what about Tisei’s senate seat? There’s already one Democrat, Mike Day running, but will a vacant seat attract more well-known candidates (with better web pages)?
