How to follow up Alan Khazei holding a dirty diaper.

Not a very good ad IMO. Poop jokes don’t make a candidate appear very Senatorial. Weird.

Talking babies is on the top of my list of things that want to make me change the channel ASAP! Especially when backed up with obnoxiously cutesy music. I KNOW I’m not the only person out there who feels that way. Who the hell thought this ad was a good idea???

Khazei’s ad is laughable (and not in a good way)…Pagliuca’s is an ad we’ve seen before just with other candidate’s starring in it…but, in their defense, this US Senate race has been notable by its lack of memorable or creative ads from any of the candidates. Considering the money these consultants are getting to deliver a compelling and effective message to voters, they should being doing better. Grading the ads from all candidates, I have yet to see one that got more than a C. (C stands for cookie cutter, cliche, and commonplace)

has the most unusual political ad in the nation at the moment. I gotta say, this is refreshing.

How can you NOT love that??

p>Incredible. Although, I’m not sure why he chose to preface his management of two non-profits with his being an eagle scout. Surely he’s done something more than that to include is his “two-point bio”.
<
p>Before all the scout get after me, I’m not claiming that there’s anything WRONG with being an eagle scout, just that it seemed odd in this ad.

he’s all that and a bag of chips. Really compelling young man… and indeed, quite young. I don’t think that’s a negative; specifically in NOLA, I think young means he hasn’t accumulated the bad habits of government that others have acquired. His career path is roughly altar boy -> eagle scout -> nonprofit1 -> nonprofit2 -> mayor.
<
p>I’m also proud that I donated money to Mr. Perry months ago (though, not very much).

I’m certainly not familiar with the nuances of NOLA politics, so I’ll have to take your word for it!
Khazei wants to change Washington? Is it the whole Ted Kennedy thing that needs changing, or the whole Barack Obama thing that is insufficient in his book? Maybe he doesn’t like the health care reform movement.
Everyone wants to change Washington, unless you already work there, in which case your knowledge of it is your greatest strength and your opponents’ greatest liability. It’s required campaign rhetoric.
…for taking Khazei’s words at face value and not accepting that it’s just a campaign ploy without any meaning behind it. Because if Obama can’t change the establishment as president (look who’s running the Treasury right now), Senator 100 surely will.

I’ve ever seen.

He’s already created several jobs with his campaign. If he runs for governor next year, he’ll single-handedly pull this state out of the recession.
As far as I know he doesn’t WANT to be inspired. Hope and change are for the naive and gullible in his book!
You run as the change candidate or the establishment candidate, there is no other option that wins.
<
p>Are you seriously pretending as if you didn’t already know that?

Which candidates eventually got back to you on your twitter-delivered policy question?
