According to a press release:
“Martha Coakley has a record that is unmatched by the candidates in this race when it comes to keeping our communities safe.” -Eugene Brune
“I am proud to endorse Martha Coakley for United States Senate because she has demonstrated bold, principled leadership and cares deeply about our communities. With Martha, what you see is what you get.” -Dorothy Kelly
“I have long admired Martha Coakley’s progressive leadership and thoughtful approach to solving the problems our communities face. Martha has been a courageous trailblazer, from being the first Attorney General in the nation to challenge the constitutionality of the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act to achieving a first-of-its kind agreement with Goldman Sachs to address its role in the subprime mortgage crisis. Somerville could not ask for a more effective United States Senator than Martha Coakley.” -Representative Sciortino
“I am proud to stand with Martha Coakley because she is a different kind of leader who has the courage to do what is right, not just what is politically expedient…Martha knows what it takes to get our economy back on track, and she will bring that invaluable knowledge and experience to Washington as our next Senator. Martha will make Somerville and all of Massachusetts proud in the U.S. Senate.” -Sal Albano
The Boston globe described the endorsements as a “slap at a native son.” According to the Globe:
Capuano was more conservative when he was mayor and before that, on the Somerville Board of Aldermen, Albano said, and has since transformed himself into a liberal for political gain. “He’s not who he really says he is,’’ alleged Albano.

p>Color me not impressed with these two.

…which race Dorothy Kelly Gay is refering to as Martha having a better chance of winning. If it’s the primary then it’s just bandwagon, which is never a good reason to endorse, IMO. If it’s the general is she really concerned the Capuano might not win against the Republican?
