Here are about 15,000 people whose names we should know.
Story from my favorite news source…
More than 14,700 U.S. taxpayers came forward to disclose billions in offshore bank accounts in 70 countries under a voluntary Internal Revenue Service program allowing most to avoid criminal prosecution as long as they pay what they owe, IRS officials said Tuesday.
While these people may have skirted prison time for their crimes, maybe we should at least know their names?
Please share widely!

I believe the Internal Revenue Code forbids the IRS to disclose this information. Besides, it would probably be more difficult (and therefore detrimental to the goal of maximizing tax collection) to persuade people to participate in the voluntary disclosure program if their privacy were not assured.

How many of this 14,700 are prominent figures and donors to either or both parties? That will determine if this issue is “non-partisan”.
