While some candidates want to stake out ground by calling themselves different, Mike Capuano has proven he is different.
Along the way he has made some enemies (Sal Albano is not even a Massachusetts resident anymore?) and some people are turned off by his take no prisoners, it is what it is approach.
In his own words:
When I am with you, I will tell you. When I disagree with you, I will sit down with you and I will explain why I do. I will respect you and I will respect your right to disagree with me. I will never lie to you, I will never mislead you, and I will never forget that I work for you. And I promise you- you will never be sorry you supported me.
This is what I want from my elected officials. This is what we need from our elected officials.
I will be proud to vote for him tomorrow.
I urge fellow supporters to call and email all of their friends, family and neighbors on behalf of Mike. If you can, please consider taking tomorrow off to help with the campaign.

I was struck by that quote as well. Say what you will about Mike, he’s never been threatened by the issues. He’s made it his policy to put them front-and-center. He’s unapologetic, direct, and responsive. An excellent candidate, and I’m proud to support him.
