A Budget Forum provides an opportunity for everyone to participate in an open conversation about the Commonwealth’s budget. While each host will tailor his/her presentation to their respective secretariat, the conversations are generally less technical, encourage greater dialogue and will address the budget as a whole.
Dates, times, locations and administration hosts for other forums can be found at www.mass.gov/governor/forum. If you are not able to attend a forum, you can still be a part of the conversation by contributing online. Summaries of the forums, along with videos and questions, will be posted on our blog, www.mass.gov/blog/engage.
Please share widely!

It was a good event, more requests to save specific services than solutions to help fix the our budget issues, except for one recent college grad that said “raise my taxes” which got a round of applause; an interesting moment.

p>All in all, nice for the Gov. to engage citizens in the discussion, and always nice to have him drop by Melrose! We’ll be welcoming the Lt. Gov. tomorrow for a discussion on regionalization.
