I wonder how many people who just donated to Scott Brown and Martha Coakley wish they had that back so they could help out in Haiti instead?
It's not too late, they could agree to each donate $500,000 dollars of their contributions to relief effort, on behalf of their generous donors who are now tapped out. It seems obscene to give so much money to television stations so they can send Anderson Cooper down there to film the chaos and misery.

That said, this is a great idea.

I don’t know if they’ve gotten wind of this yet. They won’t bother to do it unless the idea makes it to the front page.
<
p>Of course, the media would rather they get the money, so they’re not going to promote it, but BMG has nothing to lose.

I’ve make a decision years ago never to donate to a political party, a PAC or any other group fundraising for a candidate. I gave about $5 to Jill Stein when she ran for Governor and I was a poor college student. She was perhaps the only person I ever strongly believed enough in to give to.

p>That said, now I am a poor graduate student, but I will be giving a portion of a recent birthday gift to Partners in Health or Doctors without Borders for Haiti relief efforts.
