So now, as we go in to the final round Martha can only hope she is winning on points. (this is boxing talk, where you can still use phrases like ‘queer street’).
Everyone knows this guy can’t fight, so Martha will take him on and go after him like trying a case. Trying her case. On the facts. For every 2 or 3 good facts she states about herself she will state an unpleasant one about Scott and ask a legitimate question based on it. She will not have prepared follow-ups but ask them based on Scott’s answers. As an experienced trial attorney she knows that this is where Scott’s true intellect, ego, and arrogance can shine. In the follow-ups. Trap him. Play to the jury (the voters). She hopes to throw some knock out punches and this fight right here right now. Put him on queer street.
Team Coakley is highly confident she can kick Team Brown fighter’s ass. She will keep him focused on the issues and topics and brush aside detours like her aide roughing the guy up etc.. She will be doing this from now until Tuesday in front of every tv camera and microphone she can.
The Brown people are afraid of this. In prep sessions for debates Scotty has only been able to hit Tim Wakefield type fast balls and only then, if he is told they are coming.
Hey Scotty, name a few members of the cabinet or the Supreme Court.
Hint Martha: Don’t ask him those. They were on the practice test Eric gave him. Seriously. He’ll be ready for those next time. (Don’s ask me how I know. But I know. It’s the truth, ain’t it Eric?)
But you get the picture. You can’t cram for Jeopardy.

Word also is that serious, real Republicans (I’ll call them the Charlie Baker/Avi Nelson types) actually are afraid of a Brown win. He will be a disaster and bring them down with him.
Pioneer Institute type repubs are afraid of the backlash against Repubs after Brown’s two years in office destroys all the gains they hope make in November.
This guy, like Christy Mihos, is not their cup of tea. You-lie-down-with-dogs-you-get-fleas- type of thing.
Also Baker, as governor – which he should be – needs help from Washington if he wants to be a successful governor. Do you know how many federal dollars of ours will be going to other states because of Senator Brown? Boat loads.
BTW, the best place for the “discussion” between Scott and Martha (see above) is, IMHO, on a bench at a bus stop. The discussion can progress with Scott sounding normal, followed by his obvious deficiencies (Life is like a box of chocolate) followed by the curiosity of how a person as limited as Scott got as far as he did. Just a suggestion.

If Scott Brown is elected he will be talked big time as Sarah Palin or Mitt’s running mate or perhaps go for the enchilada himself. And he’ll eat it up. Heck, he’d have more experience then Obama.
He could be like John Edwards – not the cheating part – just the messiah complex part.
If he loses? Three words my friends:
Reality Television Show.

Great column on Brown by Peter Gelzins in today’s Herald.
I’ll leave you with this piece of gold that says all a voter needs to know about the empathetic Scott Brown.
[T]he misty-eyed tale he told about growing up with dysfunctional parents and having to go and pick up the welfare “cheese block.” I pointed out that the cheese block was a piece of Democratic charity.
“Yes, that’s true,” he said with a blank stare, the free Velveeta still stuck in his throat.
I hope she doesn’t cave to Brown’s “one-on-one” shtick. Joe Kennedy is on the ballot and the voters deserve to hear from all candidates that they will have the opportunity to vote for.
Charlie Baker was holding fundraisers for Scott Bown. The temporary Scott Brown campaign headquarters in Worcester was borrowed from the Christy Mihos campaign. Republicans are wholeheartedly supporting Scott Brown. That is why we’re going to win!
I don’t think the Democratic Senatorial Campaign C/whatever is located in Boston. Can anyone help me out here? Especially since Republicans across the nation are “invading” holy blue land.
Nothing I tell you. Nothing!!!!

p>Ha ha ha! (evil laugh)
Having watched this campaign of Coakley’s (or lack thereof, presuming coronation), I’ll go back on Brian McGrory’s comments:
