With all the cash from the GOP and far-right extremists flowing into Scott Brown’s campaign coffers, I fear that the sleazy operatives who are already conducting astroturf campaigns on websites like Facebook and boston.com will sink to this level.

With Scott Brown leading in some polls and trailing in others, this election cannot be accurately predicted, which opens it up to voter fraud and dirty tricks. I am not much of a conspiracy theorist (or a worry wort) when it comes to voting machines vs. paper ballots, but this may factor into inaccurate tallies and recounts in some communities. The bottom line is that combined with a poorly-run Democratic campaign that should forever tarnish the reputations of the idiots who are running it, these factors could lead to a Democratic loss. Ted Kennedy will be spinning in his grave. I will take off the tinfoil hat now.
