Looks like The Boston Globe aka New York Times step-child – is playing games with people’s lives for the almighty dollar.
The story of the MASSIVE RECALL of ALL Toyotas built and sold from 2005 to 2010 was relegated to a very small story in the Business Section (Page B9) with a very, very small block notice directing readers to the story below the fold on the front page.
Looks like The Boston Globe caved to the pressure of its automobile advertisers… Ernie Boch et al… and buried the story.
The Boston Globe has no excuse for this. The story broke about 4 or 5 PM last night which would have given the Globe sufficient time to write a significant story about this recall.
For those who may not know Toyotas from Camry to Corrollas have had gas accelerator problems which sends the driver off in uncontrolable speeds.
If one Toyota driver failed to know about this problem because The Boston Globe sold out there will be blood on its collective and corrupted hands!
