The firefighters are Latino and African-American, men and women. The gang throwing rocks is all white, all male. Yes, I am aware of the incendiary (pun intended) implied references to the long hot summers of the sixties and early seventies. I think it’s time we start inverting the tired stereotypes that the rightwing still relies on.
I think its time to quit bleating about “bipartisanship” and take off the gloves. The other side has explicitly said they want to take us down. They mean business, and they act like it.
So should we.
