Cahill: Tisei Not Baker’s First Choice

In an interview with NECN's Jim Braude, Tim Cahill talks about how the Baker camp went all out to convince him to become Charlie's running mate.

Braude asks Cahill to recount the specific conversation, to which Cahill replies: “Before he picked Richard Tisei, he said 'we want you on the ticket.'”

Wonder what Tisei thinks of Cahill's candor, now that his “runner-up” status has been confirmed.

    This will make Bill and Hillary Clinton happy. During a taping today of the Oprah Winfrey show, Jill Biden let slip that Barack Obama had offered her husband the choice of being vice president or secretary of state.

    “Joe had the choice of being secretary of State or vice president,” said Jill.  

    “I said, ‘Joe if you are secretary of State you will be away, I’ll never see you. We will see you at a state dinner once in a while. But I said if you are vice president, the entire family, because they worked so hard for the election, they can be involved … They can come to our home, they can go to events, they can be with us and that is what is important to us.”
