Over at Lawyers, Guns and Money, Paul Campos was lamenting that “I swear if I read one more thing about spoiled Baby Boomers not understanding the gloriousness of The Greatest Generation I’m going to move from dissent to resistance.” This outburst was prompted by a piece in the Los Angeles Times by Jim Spencer (“Democratic political consultant based in Boston”) and Curtis Ellis. But I thought it referred to an Globe op-ed today, “Today’s New Right looks a lot like the New Left of the ’60s” by Cliff Garboden. Both pieces are IMHO tedious, vacuous, and stupid. But take a look at how similar they are in laying out the case, even in comparing the New Left of the 1960s and the Tea Partyers of today. Pure coincidence? Of course.
