We have an innocent little seasonal stream about 10-15 ft from our house that becomes a raging river when we get days of heavy rain. I thought the rain was supposed to end yesterday afternoon, and I thought we had weathered the storm. But then, last night I went outside for a minute and there it was – pouring rain AGAIN. Went to weatherchannel.com and it appears the storm had stalled right over us and there would be steady rain through 6am. No sleeping for me. Worry was the order of the night. It’s 4:46 am. I believe the rain is gone for now. But the river at the side of my house still rages. Yikes.
