Much has been said here already about the Governor’s troubles with his erstwhile center-left allies in the labor unions (or more specifically the police unions). Being placed between the rock of a dismal fiscal picture and the hard place of the often implacable public service unions isn’t easy for any political leader. The aftermath of the Great Recession, blood red balance sheets afflicting advanced economies from Japan to Greece , will only exacerbate these labor pains.
We can expect a season of discontent as debt
