A colleague of mine attended the Jobs & Workforce Summit in Sturbridge today. She said over 300 political and business leaders were there and that Governor Patrick was terrific.
This confirms a nice case he’s been making: that we’re emerging from the recession ahead of most states, that there’s more work to be done but we’ve stabilized things and are well positioned for a recovery. The Telegram & Gazette took a look at one woman’s experience in today’s paper “Laid off, woman finds her way back to work”
We’re not out of the woods yet, but if jobs #s stabilize/get better, retail sales improve, and housing data continues to impress, it makes a pretty good argument heading into a reelection.
