Additionally, I was proud to stand with nine other Senate colleagues in opposition to a costly amendment that unfairly targets our state’s immigrant population. We must work together to ensure that our opposition to this amendment is heard as it heads into conference committee.
While my staff and I are hard at work at the State House serving the needs of our district, I would also like to take is opportunity to remind everyone that my campaign for re-election is also fully underway and has gained significant momentum right out of the gate.
I am pleased to say that my re-election campaign has already been endorsed by a wide array of over 80 elected officials district-wide, including: Congressman Mike Capuano, Cambridge City Councillors Leland Cheung, Henrietta Davis, Marjorie Decker and Tim Toomey, Chelsea City Councilors Paula Barton and Roseann Bongiovanni, Mayor Thomas Ambrosino of Revere, Mayor Joseph Curtatone of Somerville, Boston City Councilors John Connolly and Sal LaMattina, over 30 elected officials from my hometown of Everett and earlier this week, I received the endorsement of the full membership of the Saugus Democratic Town Committee.
While these endorsements are a clear indication that my campaign’s message of bringing the communities of this diverse district together around common goals is resonating, these endorsements alone do not win elections. I look forward to bringing my message to your doorstep, as we continue canvassing with many of these dedicated community leaders in the coming months, and more importantly, working with each of them to help make a real and measurable difference in the lives of our state’s residents.
As our campaign moves forward, I ask that you judge me by my record, and not by what my opponent may say or insinuate about my views. Follow my actions as I work to find solutions to the problems facing our communities and hold me accountable to what I say on the campaign trail. Like many of the progressive voices that have already joined my campaign, you will continue to see that I share your views on the issues that are most important to our communities. I am the strong progressive Senator that you have come to expect from this seat and I hope that in the short time I have been in the Senate, I have proven that I will be there for you and will continue to stand up and fight for the values that we care so deeply about.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and I hope to earn your trust and support so we can work together to make Massachusetts the thriving and inclusive place that we all know it can and should be.
Sincerely,
Senator Sal DiDomenico

Congrats on your primary victory. Your list of elected endorsements is impressive (especially Ambrosino and Decker) . There are some other bills that will cross your desk in the next couple of weeks that hold the potential of getting you “endorsements in the poll booth” from thousands of Salem State College Alumni, students and their families who live right in your district and are watching to see if you will stand with them. After 10 years of waiting, H4560/S2162 is finally coming to a vote and will give Salem State College the university status it deserves and is prepared to take. CAN WE COUNT ON YOU TO SUPPORT IT?
