If you live in the Merrimack Valley, this event is a great way to informally meet elected officials and others active in the Democratic Party. The outing last year was very successful, and this year promises to be even better.
I look forward to meeting a lot of you on Sunday. The event information follows:
On Sunday, August 29th, the Billerica Elks Pavilion (14 Webb Brook Road, Billerica MA 01821) will be the scene of the 3rd Annual Family Outing and “Meet Your Elected Officials” event from 12 to 4 PM.
Sponsored by the Billerica Democratic Town Committee, elected officials and various unions, this will be a fun and social outing. Entertainment will feature “The Full Turn Band” along with an outstanding barbecue by Mr. Jack’s. There will be many games for the kids.
Local and state elected officials and candidates have been invited. All will make short presentations and will mingle among the crowd. This will be a great opportunity to socialize and discuss various issues.
This annual event is for all to get together and meet and discuss issues of interest in a friendly atmosphere. Also, a program will be available promoting those who are sponsoring this 3rd Annual Family Outing. These sponsors make this event free for all.

Bernie Hale and the Billerica Democratic Town Committee do a wonderful job of being inclusive, friendly, and accessible and there is plenty of room and parking, too.

p>And oh yeah – the food and music are good, too!

The name of the Billerica DTC chair is Bernie Hoar, whom I assume you are refering to above.
