In the end, as a Mac supporter, I was proud to have punched the ballot for him. He did his best, went the progressive route, got the endorsements, and played the game.
It’s now time for me, and, I hope, most of Mac’s supporters, to turn to Phil Dunkelbarger, ‘our only hope.’ Phil’s no-nonsense brand of politics will win in November, since he has committed to running a clean race, balancing his real-life experiences creating jobs with a concrete plan for our future, our educational system, and our health.
Phil presents himself as a viable, honest, and well-rounded candidate who will restore a personal touch to the 9th Congressional District. I’d really appreciate if you’d at lease consider working with him over the next 7 weeks, because the fight is far from over. Go to http://www.dunk2010.com and either sign up to volunteer, or perhaps donate some cash to this guy.
I promise you, he’ll get it done for us. I’ve been outspoken about him from day one, and even though I helped Mac out, and voted for him in the Primary, I always knew Dunk would be there on 9/15, and again on 11/3, as our next U.S. Congressman.

Support for HCR or no, this guy’s even more conservative than Lynch!

So, you went through the whole article, and read it. Then you went online to Dunk’s website and pulled together your argument: you don’t support him because he wants to RETURN 10% of the military budget BACK to the 9th District for spending on INFRASTRUCTURE and JOBS. What’s wrong with that?
<
p>Sounds pretty much like an Independent to me. More conservative than Lynch? Do you know Lynch? His votes depend on how the wind is blowing that day. We need a real person, regardless of party, to step up and force America to explain why we’re spending in the wrong places, and why each and every one of us owes (on average) $42,000 towards the National Debt.
<
p>I hate comments like yours. All you do is try to find the hole in someone’s argument or comment and ignore the positive. Yes, Dunk’s going to have some conservative policies, he’s a damn Independent. DO NOT THINK PARTY. THINK PERSON. We need to rid the system of Political Parties and start fresh. Real people, representing real people, without outside lobbyist influence.
<
p>Try and think of all of the positive that would come out of voting for Dunk, namely, more intelligent representation from someone who knows what it’s like to put his children through college, own and operate a REAL small business (and hire employees), and have the courage to do something about it.
<
p>Re-think your argument, and then re-submit it!
<
p>I’m a Democrat…and I’m voting DUNK.
