So it seems to me that the Chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party has no qualms with the ultra conservative ideals Rush holds dear.
My question to Chairman Walsh is why are you not chiding Rush publicly for opposing major parts of the Massachusetts Democratic Party Platform?
You are giving him money and logistical support instead. PITIFUL.
Sincerely,

We get it, you fundamentally disagree on a variety of things, but the party’s job is to get Democrats elected up and down the ticket, not issuing ideological purity tests. He doesn’t sound like someone I’d be enthusiastic about either, but wasn’t there a primary to decide who would represent the party? Your campaign against him is starting to sound like a personal grudge.

p>It isn’t a personal grudge, it is that this person does not agree with the majority of the Democratic Party Platform. Where do we as Democrats draw the line regarding people who claim to be Democrats? If he supported big tax breaks for the rich and corporations, would we disavow him then?
<
p>Wait a minute! He has. Take a look at this! http://www.ontheissues.org/MA-…
<
p>And since this is the district I live in, it is important who is my representative in the State Senate.

p>Respectfully Submitted,
Sincerely,

I assume you don’t suggest that the Massachusetts Democratic Party should try to work instead for the Republican in this race. Indeed, the Republican, Brad Williams, seems pretty clearly to the right of Rush on a number of issues, such as taxes (it appears he’s in favor of Question 3 and the “No New Taxes” pledge).
<
p>As an aside, you claim that Rush does not “agree with the majority of the Democratic Party platform,” but the very link you provide indicates that he agrees with 10 of 16 items.
<
p>It doesn’t seem like Rush is someone I’d get excited about supporting either, but this vendetta is just strange, especially if the alternative is electing a Republican who is even further to the Right.

However, she votes in a way that reflects the district, some of which I even support. I still prefer her to most Republicans
