I tried to reply to the diary about some of the technical (browser?) issues but could not. 🙁
While I can obviously start a new diary, I can’t reply to a thread. This is very strange. Like others, I can’t use Firefox from a work computer, and I am running IE 8. Has anyone found a solution yet? Thanks!

this is a problem specific to Internet Explorer. Pretty much every other browser seems to be operating without difficulty. We have not had any reports of problems with Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, or anything else. We do not have a fix yet.

Damn Microsoft products…

I can comment on GreenMassGroup with internet explorer, and boston.com and masslive.com. GreenMassGroup is SoapBlox too. So I’m kind of wondering what’s up. Are there a lot of tracker cookies allowed on this site or are you preventing tracker cookies from accessing this site? It seems to be a java issue, because the error I get is [java:void 0] Do you have any idea what changed?
kathy says
But you’re right-other websites posed no problems. Maybe it is a Java issue.

but when I hold the mouse over the
Post A Comment or Reply link mine say [javascript:void(0)] (sorry my mistake, not [java:void 0]as I noted before). In previous days once I clicked on the link it would say “Error on Page”, now it just stays [javascript:void(0)]. Really strange.

that it has to do with the “Tweet this” button that was recently installed, and which maybe GMG doesn’t use, so that’s why you can still comment there with IE.

p>Problem is, I really like the “Tweet this” feature, and a lot of users are making good use of it. There’s some weird problem with that feature that is unique to IE, so I’m hoping that BMGers who use IE won’t mind too much switching over to a different browser, at least when they want to comment.
