1. David. EB3 isn’t around. I have a question about DA Dan Conley. So it’s you.
Did you see the video of the cop punching a kid during an arrest?
The Globe reported today “Conley tapped First Assistant District Attorney Josh Wall, who oversees all Superior Court prosecutions in Suffolk County, to conduct an independent investigation into the arrest.”
My question – how is that “independent”? What’s he independent of?
2. Predictions on Barney Frank? Bueller?
Am I crazy in wondering if Deval Patrick’s trending up a bit is gonna make the Frank election closer than the 13 point polling spread? I.e., don’t independent voters, when given a chance to “split the ticket,” often do just that?
And if you live in Newton/Brookline, aren’t the 2 main offices up in this election Rep and Gov?
3. There’s that Jim Henderson dude staring at me on Google ads. Man his eyes are very wide open in that pic.
My question is – why would Sec Galvin decline a debate? Ie, when a candidate has an election locked up, why not just get the free air time? Smile a lot, thank people, etc? Particularly if one day you wanna run for something else.
4. Didn’t we discuss like months ago on this website how Baker could put the Big Dig issue to bed?
Some minor mea culpa, a few jokes when it comes up (I bet lots of voters would be happy to relive 1996, 4.3% – remind me Gov, what is it now”?)
How oh how oh how did his campaign let that non-issue stick around?

Bielat is moving in the right direction in some of the polling I’ve seen and heard, but he’s out of time. He’s burying voters in attack mailers, but doesn’t have a single good thing to say about himself. Big mistake. I say Barney by 9.

I think with four more weeks, Bielat would have a shot. But as the window closes, what he needs to win becomes more and more out there.

His “dancing” ad looks like Cartman is trying to run for Congress, not a credible candidate (Wikipedia: “Cartman is an overweight, spoiled, foul-mouthed, mean-spirited, selfish, and ill-tempered fourth-grader living with his mother in the fictional town of South Park, Colorado).
<
p>If he was going to mount a realistic campaign, he had to try to appeal to a broad base of the electorate, not just the spittle-streaked teabaggers who love bitter ads like that.
<
p>Frank by 15, unless Bielat’s head explodes first from fury, in which case Frank by 7 on a sympathy vote.

than a guy who spends years and years defending the stability of fannie and freddie, propping them up and enabling them, and then demands my money to bail them out when they crash and burn.
<
p>Hate on Sean all you want, but Barney Frank has no business continuing to represent the 4th after watching the entire banking system in the US have a huge stroke while he was at the helm of the banking committee. The fact that all his ads talk about is social security just proves that he can’t run on his own record and needs to bring up something that isn’t even in the top 5 for talking points this election cycle.
<
p>The guy seriously saw 20% of the dem primary ballots go for a woman who wanted to go to Mars as a top priority. Kitchen tables are at least GROUNDED.

From what I can tell, you’re comparing two fictional characters.
