My spouse was planning to come – but his 29 year old nephew died and he is at an out of state funeral. I have to work this weekend – I work most weekends at least Saturdays and sometimes part of Sunday. It is the reality of what I do when children must be located and visited, adult clients must be met with outside of their work hours, hospital visits must occur and paperwork must be caught up when courts are not in session. Emergencies and new cases also come in with imperatives of their own; most recently a Lowell case where five siblings, two with special needs, were placed in Holyoke in separate foster homes all of whom I will locate and check on within the week.

p>So for those who actually are free to pitch in, the Arlington Office is clean, well organized, friendly and will feed you very well. The Governor may even drop by today, you never know with that hard working crew of volunteers. The Arlington Regional Democratic Office (ADRO) is a welcoming place – in 2006 it make over 60,000 phone calls so “the office is a beehive of activity”.

p>The office is funded by both the Arlington and Lexington Democratic Town Committees and staffed/run by residents of both towns. And we welcome folks from anywhere to come and help out!

Bob’s comment reminded me that I should note that you can get in contact with the office (not Bean) at ArlLexDemOffice@verizon.net
