The same Globe editorial board decided to endorse conservative state legislator candidates like Chris Spadafora, whose primary contribution to our political discourse has been to host a fundraiser at which comedian Lenny Clarke was recorded calling Katherine Clark, Spadafora’s opponent, a “whore.”
It’s bad enough that the Democrats have to deal with the Boston Herald, Howie Carr, and the wingnut parade on the radio. Should they now be preparing to deal with a Boston Globe that is slowly inching away from not just progressive values, but basic civility?

your claim that Connaughton “sought out” the endorsement of Mass Resistance? That would be real news. The mere fact that they’re urging a vote for her, that doesn’t do much for me.
There are two (major) candidates in the race. Groups from the most extreme on the right to the most extreme on the left may endorse one or the other. What would really matter is if a candidate sought to endorsement of a group that is out of bounds for one reason or another.
