While pleased at the anti-bullying law, she would like to see some funding so schools could create and deliver the programs to support its aims. She says as important is making sure they keep the supermajority of 151 of 200 legislators to fend off ballot initiatives that would strip LGBT citizens of existing rights.
Suffredini differentiates MassEquality from GLAD, which engages primarily in litigation activities. Her group will continue to concentrate on education and legislation. She explains how she want to continue to be a model for and work with other states in getting along as far as we have.
