What a way to start my morning…ugh. After reading the Globe’s article about CEO’s still taking bonuses in the face of the worst economic blight of our time, I had to sit back and take a moment. I’m not naive, but its infuriating.
I tried to put myself in the shoes of a woman, perhaps a $40K-a-year Administrative aficionado, laid off from one of the companies experiencing cutbacks. I wondered what she would think; finding out her CEO took a multi-zero check from their Board of Directors, because he figured out how wield a machete – just to make shareholders happy.
As for Healey…I’m at a loss.
I want Mr. Baker’s opinion on this.
