Republican State Senator Bob Hedlund, said last night on Emily Rooney that he is “troubled” by Sargent Jeff Perry’s role of the cover up of the sexual assaults of two young girls.
UPDATE (by David): And even before yesterday’s bombshell, Hedlund had publicly expressed a lack of enthusiasm for Perry’s campaign. When a caller to Hedlund’s radio show called Perry a “bad Republican” and “bad as a person,” Hedlund didn’t argue – not even a little. Instead, he pointedly commented that if Vinny deMacedo had been the nominee instead of Perry, Hedlund “would have been out there for him.”

Schultz was a klutz who intentionally turned a blind eye to the prisoners covert activities. (Hence his famous line “I know nothing! NOTHING!”) Perry seems to have been competent and malicious, so if anything he’s the polar opposite of Schultz.

on “Greater Boston” last night. Of course, he was being outgunned by Rooney and the two Democratic guests, but still, awfully quiet.

He has signs all over his district. MANY are side by side with Perry’s. Some people believe in guilt by association. Perhaps that is why he was so quiet.
