First, not all of us control our schedules. For example, I get faxed new appointments, and judges, having gotten “whacked” by time standards and flipped for rolling trials and hearings may “hold me day to day” whereupon, my schedule is in their hands.

p>Second, I got four very pressured “GOTV” calls pushing hard to make me commit to a scheduled time to call. I pointed out to the third and fourth caller that I had gotten the other calls and was told “that is not supposed to happen” so I think there are still problems with the lists.

p>Third, please be more user friendly making the GOTV calls then these folks were. Two of them even told me “we are being pushed hard to have you commit” but, given the realities of my work and family life, I have to say “no” to that kind of presentation and I also admit that I really didn’t like being pushed that hard, in that way. And I am friendly, and really DO as much as I actually can do.

p>Fourth, I am no longer convinced that phone calls “work”.

at 14:50, Obama says Republicans want to “cut education by 20%”. And then he says pointing to Patrick, here in Massachusetts “it’s the same story”.

p>Of course here in Massachusetts, as all parents know, our Democratic legislature has passed, and Deval Patrick has signed budgets with cuts to education funding every year for the last three.

p>At 15:30, Obama continues, pointing at Patrick, “We’ve been there, we don’t like it, and we’re not going back.” Wow. Really?
