For those opponents who accuse every Democrat as being tax and spend….ponder this:
<
p>In the senate, Keating wrote the Estate Tax Cut that was put into law under Bill Weld. He also sponsored bills that provided funding for technology startup companies and raised income tax relief for single parents.
<
p>From the debates I’ve seen its pretty clear: Perry wants to fight Nancy Pelosi. Keating wants to fight for us.
afertig says
Hey everybody, I’m now serving as one one of the regional organizers for Bill. I’d love to see everybody at the Plymouth HQ opening tomorrow at 10 — it’s going to be a lot of fun!
garylowell says
William Keating is not truly a resident of the 10th District, so he should not be running. I hope the voters in the general election see through his ruse.
shillelaghlaw says
You’re going to need some of Keating’s voters to vote for you in order to win. Why alienate them? Interjecting yourself into other races will only hurt your own cause.
<
p>Besides, some might say that you shouldn’t be elected, because you aren’t a homeowner, and thus aren’t truly invested in your district.
grassroots1 says
screw up a free meal by asking for change comes to mind. Gary, not that you have a chance anyway, but you COULD have reached some of Keating’s supporters upset that Mariano endorsed O’Leary in the primary. Instead, you just pissed off the supporters of the man who took over 70% of the vote in your district. Du’ohhh!!!!
marcus-graly says
Maybe you have heard of it before?
<
p>Article 1, section 2
<
p>Nowhere does it say the he mist be an inhabitant of the district, just the state.
shillelaghlaw says
The Constitution allows Bill Keating to run for Congress, but not him.
plymouth4keating says
Bill Keating, as Norfolk County DA, has been representing the good people of Quincy, Weymouth and Cohasset for the past 12 years. If you look at population for those three communities and compare it to the state rep. district his opponent currently represents, Keating represents more people in the 10th Congressional District. Hardly a carpetbagger as some have suggested.
grassroots1 says
Doesn’t that make HIM the carpetbagger?
<
p>I’m only half serious. Anyone who lists a candidate’s address as a major issue is part of the problem, not the solution.
jjoncapecod says
I have looked at this page a few times and each time there is a large colorful ad for perry, in the google ads, right between the post and comments. You might want to turn off google ads….
david says
Click through to see what they have to say. More money for us, higher cost for the Perry campaign. Win-win. đŸ˜‰

Check out http://www.BarnstableDemocrats… or the barnstable democrats page on facebook …. Today there is a phone bank in Osterville, and we need volunteers.
<
p>Perry was strong in this area for a while, and I pray that when people see the truth about what he did to those teenage girls, they will realize it would be embarrassing to have him as a congressman… representing us in Washington.
<
p>These stories weren’t in the press when he ran for Satte Rep, I’d like to believe that the people in this area would not have voted him in if those details were public.
jjoncapecod says
This is a great compilation of the court and police records about Perry’s complicity in the sexual abuse of TWO teenage girls, ages 14 and 16 http://www.capecodtoday.com/bl…
