p>He basically plows right through the question, without even the slightest acknowledgment of the victim or that anything wrong happened, to get right back on his spending talking points. This shows one of the real problems Charlie seems to have. He may be a smart guy, but he seem incapable of adjusting his train of thought once his conversation is moving in a certain direction- at least in the short term. One would have to assume that once he has time to think he will be able to come up with a more ummmm…humane answer, even if he wants to stick with Perry. But, you shouldn’t need any time to know that decency demands a public figure give, at least, a not to the pain of a sexual assault victim speaking out.
