The recount in the 6th Worcester District appears to be in a tie after three ballots have been counted in Geraldo Alicea’s favor and one outstanding shows clear voter intent for Mr. Alicea. This ballot appears that it will be put in Alicea’s favor but there is a firestorm surrounding this one ballot.
This will cause a failure to elect which then spurs a special election. We need to make sure if this scenario plays out that in a time when no other elections are occuring we give our 100% effort to re-elect a tireless representative like Represenative Alicea! Although an immense legal battle could ensue the future of the 6th Worcester looks brighter with the possibility of re-election of Geraldo Alicea.
Of course Alicea’s opponent Peter Durant is not ready to give in or concede. Who would be?!
One more precinct is still to be counted tomorrow. I will update with any further info
Let’s all just hope the 6th Worcester stays blue!

I was in Charlton yesterday and Spencer today. I was very impressed by the town workers and their commitment to ensuring that each and every ballot be fairly counted. I am hopeful that Geraldo will be able to continue to serve.

Be sure to check the Probation Dept. comp time days, too!

After today’s recount there was no change in results. So Geraldo Alicea is down one with a ballot that is challenged. People are optimistic that it will be resolved in favor of Alicea.
