Hi All:
Does anyone know of a contractor like GroSolar that fits homes for wind power generation? It appears that my house is not facing the proper directon or that my property has too many trees to make a solar panel installation worthwhile.
Respectfully Submitted,
Sincerely,

…is that most towns have ordinances about the height of wind towers, or any type of tower you’d like to add to your house. You have trees – your wind generator would have to be above the tree line to get sufficient wind in order to generate appreciable power. Most towns will limit you to 35 or 40 feet, which is not high enough.

p>Further, the incentive structure for wind power is almost nil, you’d only get the federal and state tax credits. Your best bet would be to knock down some trees and install solar panels. Installing a 5 kW solar array is equivalent to planting over 3,600 trees, so it’s not a sin to knock a few trees down in order to install solar.

p>I currently sell solar power systems for a Hopedale firm called Second Generation Energy – http://www.sgegroup.com – email me if you’d like some more info, ok? My email address is in my profile here.
