Regarding the proposed closure of nine public schools in Boston, parents and teachers are uniting to hire legal help to submit a petition for injunctive relief to the Suffolk Superior Court to postpone the proposed December 15th vote of the Boston School Committee until April.
The proposed closure would not take effect until June 30th, 2011.
The intention of the petition is to allow time to lobby Mayor Menino and the Boston City Council to issue bonds to cover the school budget shortfall and save these school communities. Wish us luck.
