For the curious, here is the release announcing the PAC’s formation.
The director of Governor Deval Patrick’s Massachusetts political committee today announced the Governor’s plans to open a federal political action committee to help coordinate and finance his national activities on behalf of the Democratic Party.
“In a year marked by deep divisions in our political discourse, Governor Patrick won re-election with a positive campaign about our shared values,” said David O’Brien, who will be the director of the PAC. “Our state’s economy, schools and health care system are the envy of the nation so the Governor has a very good story to tell,” O’Brien added.
This month Governor Patrick met with Tim Kaine, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee and former White House Senior Advisor David Axelrod to discuss the Governor’s role in the national debate about our country’s future. It was determined that a federal political action committee is the best vehicle for the Governor to play a significant part in the country’s discussion about our future.
“Governor Patrick’s conviction to his principles and his message about how, by working together, we can solve our problems and move our country forward, are of interest to other national leaders,” O’Brien added.
Sub-Prime Action Committee
<
p>That’s about right.
ZZZ
<
p>Doesn’t warrant a 3 though
Sub-Prime or Die for Freedom PAC, see, now that’s an eye-“catcha”.
<
p>But my guess it’s a positive message name like:
<
p>Moving Forward PAC
PAZzzzzzzzzzz
D-Pac Chopra
Causing a Patrick wherever he goes.
Deval PACrick
People could call it the RAT PAC for short.
OK, that was totally inappropriate. It’s Friday after 5pm, and I apologize.
Since everybody else beat me to the tasteless I might as well let go: I think he should just go ahead and call it the “GOP, You Can All Kiss My Ass, PAC”. That’s not being used now, right? Right?
<
p>Other options:
<
p>”A Head of the PAC”
<
p>”Take it Back PAC”
<
p>”The Sanity PAC”
<
p>The “I go to work every day and get the job done PAC”
<
p>”Good Government PAC”
<
p>”Got Your Back PAC”
<
p>”GOP is Whack PAC”
<
p>The “Gee, Mr Romney, you’ve now spent more time running for President than you did serving in government… how’s that working out for ya? PAC”
<
p>And, if the all important, secret-behind-the-scenes, celebrity endorsement talks come to fruition:
<
p>”Shaqs Smack a Hack and Dont Talk Back PAC”
n/t
It speaks of Massachusetts, but also our shared values.
I’ll be sure to tell Mitt you like his name when I see him again!
if we weren’t the butt of his jokes. Well, to be fare, he doesn’t really make fun of us that much more, these days he tries to disassociate himself with our state completely… maybe people will forget he was once a moderate Republican of a liberal state.
(I didn’t know it was possible for me to botch so much in a couple of sentences. LOL.)
After your contributions on this thread, you should not be surprised at attracting gratuitous enmity, for that seemed to be the goal of your comments.
by the behavior of their elected counterparts around the country. No comment is too harsh, no proposal too severe, no behavior too nasty.
Were I posting on a conservative group blog, I would never under any circumstances join in a name-calling contest about someone the majority of posters admired. Period.
<
p>But that’s because I would only join discussions on a conservative blog to debate policy. I wouldn’t join in order to demonstrate how irritating I can be to the other side.
<
p>Clearly, your motivations are different.
in my world
but I think it was the hair spray.
Simple, alliterative, and it is his name, after all!
An obvious choice, but there’s nothing wrong with obvious if it works. Together We Can PAC.
works for me
