I wish we could tell whether Obama’s dropping disapproval were due to his growing dissatisfaction from liberals or moderates.

but Gallup has a nice Excel spreadsheet that breaks down Obama’s weekly national approval rates among various subgroups.
<
p>Looking at this, one sees that Obama’s approval dropped pretty steeply from the very beginning of his term across nearly all groups, including liberals/moderates/conservatives. Since at least the fall of 2009, his approval ratings have been remarkably consistent. It dropped a bit among liberals following the mid-term elections, but looks like it’s back in the high-70% range that it’s been for approximately a year and a half.
<
p>Again, that’s not Massachusetts-level data, but these changes tend to be fairly consistent across states, and I would not be surprised to see the same patterns in the Commonwealth.
One of these days, when time permits, I’m going to write a monograph citing all the published statements by Obama indicating his long-standing – and public – irritation with progressive politics.
<
p>The President-Obama-as-community-organizer meme common to both Left and Right simply isn’t supported by the facts. He entered electoral politics as a response to the corruption of Chicago activist culture, and his record as an Illinois state senator was consistent with those beliefs.
<
p>All politics are still local, and positive change starts at the bottom. The current environment of Right-wing overreach is creating an environment not seen since the early Sixties, with groups traditionally at each others throats making common cause, based upon enlightened self interest.
<
p>It’s up to Democrats to stop their traditional post-election dismissal of grassroots field, and operate as support mechanisms (not leadership) for those folks in the trenches.
If he’d not been so anti-progressive politics we very likely would seen Democratic support levels from 2008 cement and grow. The GOP bump, which I still believe will be short-lived as it becomes clear what they’re all about, would not have happened if he’d been up to the moment.

to apply to Obama and his globalist plan to destroy america. The irrelevance of US government in light of super corpo fascist orwell expialidocious speaks to the Professor Panarin/Dmitry Orlov set. It has made me search Google for those other numbered endofamerican.com sites.

Not progressive, not conservative – moderate.
<
p>Wingnuts on BOTH sides need to accept this.
… the “Liberal-Conservative-Moderate” numbers have been rather steady (within the margins or error) throughout the length of the study.
<
p>This of course begs questions about what those labels actually mean to respondents.
The rest of the country ranges between lean liberal to super crazy liberal.

p>This is a fun game.
Sigh.

Inquiring minds want to know: Is “super corpo fascist orwell expialidocious” a global plot by Mary Poppins?
In these last days of the empire.
Unfortunately the original words didn’t match my vision for the rewrite. Has to fit the music score.
