In today’s Waltham Patch it was announced that there would be an “all-candidates” night hosted by the Waltham DCC on March 10th. It should be also announced that Waltham resident Sean Durkee, nor his campaign, have ever been invited to the above stated candidates night. As Campaign Manager – I monitor the Campaign email, twitter, Facebook page, mail, campaign headquarters, and phone. This Campaign has not seen any invitation to this event in any format – and is shocked to find out in a newspaper report. It appears that all of the other candidates were officially invited in some capacity. Truly shocking and embarrassing to the Committee hosting the event.
We hope that 10th Middlesex residents will join Sean at his all-inclusive Town Hall Social on March 8th and ask him the same questions that he will not be privy to on March 10th.

Sean Durkee was invited (and still is) to participate in this public forum. Stating anything other than this is just NOT TRUE.
The Democratic City Committee of Waltham and Newton along with the Watertown Democratic Town Committee is organizing this event. All announced Democratic candidates for the 10th Middlesex District State Representatives race are invited to participate in this event. Newton Ward 1 Alderman-at-Large Allan Ciccone, Jr., Waltham Ward 6 City Councilor Gary Marchese, and Watertown District D Town Councilor John Lawn all fit this event into their busy schedules.
The date, locale, and time was chosen for several great reasons, including:
1) The Waltham Democratic City Committee was planning a meeting at this time and date already, and we believe this would give all Democratic Candidates in this race the best exposure to the largest constituency.
2) The facility (Waltham Government Center Auditorium) was available on this date for such a meeting.
3) The location is production-ready for filming by The Waltham Channel for distribution to the Waltham Community Access Channel, NewTV and Watertown Community Access Television.
4) Marjorie Arons-Barron, nationally- and locally-acclaimed broadcast and print journalist as well as former Emmy-winning editorial director of WCVB-TV has agreed to moderate this forum on March 10th.
5) The PRIMARY for this election is on April 5th, only weeks away!
