In other words, the only plausible explanation for Senator Brown’s statements on Medicare is that he wants us to think he is insane.

People pay in to Medicare all their lives. They deserve it when they retire.
Remember: Medicaid helps middle-class families pay for nursing home care for their elderly parents, and pay for services for autistic children.

When we add Ryan’s savage plan to the dramatic Social Security cuts recommended by the President’s bipartisan commission – 22%, or more than $50,000 in lifetime benefits – Seniors will simply return to the state that they were in before Social Security was passed in 1935, when most lived in poverty.
