I read this post – http://bluemassgroup.com/author/jeffc/ – which is currently front-paged. It mentioned that Cape Cod ‘led the way’ in passing this resolution. I wanted to observe that it also led the way in defeating it, as three town meetings passed it but more than that defeated it.
But the comments are turned off, so no observation on it can be made.

because it’s nearly two months old, and the time for commenting expires after (I think) 2 weeks. It’s not front-paged – scan down the actual front page, and you will note its absence.

Having comments no longer be makeable is a loss as well.

Allowing comments on old posts is an invitation to spammers. It’s routine to shut them off after about two weeks, and we did so on Soapblox as well as here.
Identifying thumbs up/down is in the works.

IDs for the thumbs up/down helps build community & connectivity, I think.
