The Special Final Election for State Representative in the 12th Bristol District (parts of New Bedford, Lakeville, Middleboro, Freetown and Taunton) is just 10 days away – Tuesday, September 20th.
Democratic Nomniee Roger Brunelle has been running non-stop since he entered the race in mid-July. Roger won the August 23rd Democratic Primary (his two opponents, Middleboro Selectman Allin Frawley and former Lakeville Selectwoman Nancy Yeatts, ran spirited and issue oriented campaigns that did the District proud).
This Saturday, Roger started his day in New Bedford at 9 AM volunteering with community groups, neighborhood associations and New Bedford City Councilors at the city’s 911day.org Neighborhod clean up. Roger joined volunteers sweeping and picking up on streets in Ward 4.
While Roger volunteered on the 911Day activities, Brunelle campaign volunteers started (and will continue through today) door-knocking voters in New Bedford and Lakeville. This afternoon, Roger is meeting with the Middleboro Democratic Town Committee and spending the rest of the afternoon door-knocking in his hometown.
Roger Brunelle is a commercial and industrial construction painter and a 19-year member of New Bedford Painters Local #691. Roger’s wife, Lorna, has owned and operated a small business in Midddleboro for the last 16-years.
