There is a growing story in Wisconsin and Illinois media as to the FBI removing boxes and boxes from former staffers of Governor Walker – mostly it looks like the Milwaukee FBI.
Here are some links for those interested in this growing story:
1: Cynthia Archer, who worked for Walker at his prior county post, received a $90,000 state position, and suddenly quit saw her home raided today at 7:00 AM.
2. Another link.
3. The FBI says public corruption is the #1 enemy. Public corruption gets good funding for the FBI these days.
While the main stream press our our way is not following Wisconsin, the protests and political activism in Wisconsin have not calmed down. For those interested.

It certainly looks like Walker could be the target. They are investigating former campaign workers who were on the public payroll and doing political work.
It’s hard to believe, however, that there isn’t more to the case than that. It’s not unheard of, just ask Tim Cahill.

Maybe a new “how to post” in your ‘spare time’ or a running side conversation (like the Winslow/EB3) of hints and how tos would help tech dinosaurs like me.

But to reiterate: in the screen where you write a post, there is a “link” button (in the “Visual” editor it looks like a chain link; in the “HTML” editor it says “link”). Select the text you want to turn into a link; click the button; and then paste the URL into the popup that appears. Same for comments. That’s all there is to it.

…that also involves allowing popups for this site first.

It is good to see them take staff from cracking down on pacifists, civil rights advocates and freedom lovers to investigate public corruption. Wisconsin’s government looks more like The Kingfish‘s every day. (Not in philosophy, in mechanics.)
I’m concerned these things wind up being diversions from other events in the White House purview. Or simple extortion. (I’m still wondering what the story was with Senator Ted Stevens. “Guilty!” – “Whoops, my bad!” – “Crash!”)
No doubt, if the FBI is serious on combating corruption, they will be shooting fish in a barrel. But, can’t help but think that while trillions of dollars disappear on the federal level, the vast bulk of prosecutions happen at a state level. Hmmm…
